Jan. 24---Hall of Fame Banquet set
The class of 2008 for the Alaska High School Hall of Fame will be inducted at a banquet on Sunday April 20 at the Marriott Downtown Hotel. Tickets may be reserved by calling 563-3723. Click here for a list of the 2008 inductees.
Jan. 14---State DDF Competition info now online
Forms and information concerning the state DDF compeitions scheduled for Feb.28-Mar. 1 is now available on the Debate, Drama, Forensics page.
Jan. 14---WPI standings for 4A teams now online
Results of all 4A teams plus their present ranking on the WPI scale can now be found on the basketball page. They will be updated every Monday and Wednesday.
Dec. 21---Basketball Scores and Standings online
For updates on basketball games played around the state, click on the basketball page. Then click on the classification (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A). To submit scores, email jandrews@asaa.org.

Nov. 7---Swimming Results are updated.
All the new records set last week at the State Swimming and Diving Championships have been entered. Go to the swimming page and look under "Record Book."
Nov. 2---Photo Gallery is up and running.
An assortment of photos from each of our state tournaments will appear on this page along with the link to Lifetouch for orders. Click on the Photo Gallery button at upper left to view.
Oct. 16---Basketball Uniform Rule
NFHS rule requires all home jerseys to be white starting this year. This rule applies to Varsity, JV, C teams. Click here for memo from ASAA
Nov. 1----Wrestlers gain an extra pound on Nov. 5.
Reminder to coaches that the growth allowance this year is one pound on the first Monday in November and again on the first Monday in December.
Oct. 18---State Tournament Sites up for Bid
There are seven state events which are available to be hosted starting in 2008-09: Nordic Ski, Tennis, DDF, 123A Wrestling, Softball, Baseball, and All-State Music. Schools or community groups interested in bidding for any of these events can find the bid documents on this page under the heading "State Tournament Sites." Deadline for all applications is Friday November 16.

Oct. 2---Houston moves to NLC in 2008
The Board of Directors approved a request by Houston to move to the NLC for football next fall. A full synopsis of all the action taken at the meeting will be available later this week.

Sept. 3---Welcome to the new look
The ASAA website has had a makeover to enlarge the page width and facilitate navigation. Some changes to note:
• All games/teams wanted and coaching position openings are now under the heading "Classifieds".
• Click to the right of "Sports and Activities" to access any specific sport/activity page
• All calendars have their own link on the left
Some pages are still under construction but should be fully loaded within a few weeks. Let us know how you like the "new website."
